Le jardin de Jumaju
les roses anciennes des Fieffes

Welcome in our garden
proverb: Confesion of a fault, is half amended

Long before man set foot on earth, rose trees had been living wild and are still alive nowadays.
About 200 different species can be listed around the world ( with the exception of tropical areas )
The most famous wild rose tree in Europe is rosa canina with simple flowers composed of only one row of five petals.
From these natural species picked up in spontaneous vegetation, gardeners started their manipulations and crossbreeding to start thousands of hybrids including those still here today.
Botanic rose trees possess numerous qualities.
Not only do they look so gracious and delicate with their simple five-petal flowers but their soft hues never clash with any other rose trees. They are extremely robust and fully resistant to allforms of cryptogamic diseases.
Finally, they don't require pruning.
