Hybrids of Moschata
The musky rose is originating in India and the South of China. It is at the origin of this family of hybrids of Moschata. In the English province of Essex, at the end of XIXè and the beginning of the XXè century, the reverend Pemberton has who it father had transmitted his love of the roses, had a gardener who, marrying and settling themselves became the obtentor John Bentall.
The reverend Pemberton had the idea to use "Trier" ( a rose tree recently created by a twenty year old young person of the name of Kordes !) like support of hybridization. Its efforts were rewarded, it was the beginning of the musky hybrids. The characteristic of these rose trees is to be bulky bushes with a large cluster of flowers and whose flowering is prolonged and whose perfume is delicately musky.
If one owes of many varieties in Pemberton which famous Pénélope, Cornélia or Robin Hood, it is right of saying that her gardener (Bentall) and his wife, Ann, were not remains about it because one owes them Balleriba or Buff Beauty and these is from United States that Blomfield Abundance reached us.
