Modern hybrids of the garden
What we have here is a strange family in a garden devoted to ancient rose trees.
They were found through purely hazardous meetings and love at first sight! Dominique found "Sourire d'Orchidée" at the rose garden of L'Haÿ les Roses, Cerise Bouquet come from André Eve's garden in Pithiviers an the Erfurt, Wilhem and Leverkusen come from their German créator; Kordes.
They have almost naturally grown from tea hybrids. The rose growers at the beginning of the 20th century tried hard to turn tea hybrids into compact, thick shrubs with as pretty and fragrant flowers as their parents and make them feel more comfortable in any type of garden.
Their natural aspect is mainly due to the fact that flowers are evenly spread out on short secondary branches all along their main branches.
Their shape, fragrance and flower quality easily compensate fot their young age.
