les roses anciennes des Fieffes

The garden, for poetic, it's a part of pastoral of the Norman country and a romantic walk among clumps where sometimes we have to force one's way through them. It's a multitude of forms, colors, fragrances of whose sense never weary of them.
For cartesians, It can be summarize by some numbers: a little more than 1200 old roses, more than 200 iris bearded, intermediary, botanicals, japanese, of water et spurias; more than 80 hostas, a forty herbaceous or shrub peony; one hundred of hydrangeas and for the end with this enumeration, a lot of rare shrubs with an esrival flowering whose photos are scatter on the differents pages of the website

The photo above represent the pavillon made in 1997 with metal and which was at the beginningn, with André Eve advice, equip with the 6 roses to make the roofing. Ten years ago, Paul's Himalayan Musk stiffe the thress roses survivor : Alchemist, Félicité et Perpétue and Claire Jacquier. Ena Harkness and Mme Isaac Pereire have been disappear. Five clematis with difficulty glide ont this jumble. After the flowering, we have to prune severely for enter below the pavillon
What's a shame for surfer that they can't benefit from scent....
